2018 SC FFA Alumni Offers Holiday Experience

South Central FFA Alumni Olivia Berner and her husband Shane, owners of Weedhopper Greenhouse in Greenwich, Ohio offer holiday opportunities to those who would like to make various arrangements through classes taught by Olivia. Olivia after graduating from South Central, attended The Ohio State University’s Agricultural Technical Institute attaining degrees in: Floral Design and Marketing and Greenhouse Production and Management. Olivia and her husband Shane then returned to Greenwich and opened the Weedhopper, LLC. Olivia operates the greenhouse for annuals and perennials in the spring and summer, while year round operating as a florist for arrangements, weddings and various other occasions. In order to fill her time in the winter, Olivia offers classes for small fees to teach others how to make the holiday arrangements she loves so much.  This past Saturday, Olivia taught a class on potted porch arrangements in which individuals from 10 years old to adults who were able to follow along and create their own individual masterpieces. There are three more classes this December in which I encourage anyone interested in making holiday arrangements or bonding with family and friends to attend. On December 1st , Olivia will be teaching how to make a fresh wreath at the Plymouth Winter Festival at 11am.  On December 8th, Olivia will be teaching how to make a kissing ball at the Weedhopper Greenhouse in Greenwich at Noon and on December 15th she will be teaching a class on Christmas centerpieces at the Weedhopper in Greenwich at Noon.
