AG in the Classroom

Date Posted: April 20, 2016
The South Central 2nd period Ag class had the honor to teach a class of 3rd graders once a day for a week. The students were challenged to make a powerpoint and activities to teach a class for a half an hour. The students split up different sections and taught about plants. The students learned how the environment where the plant lives can affect how it grows, the parts of the plant, the reproductive system of a plant, the soil layers and many other things. They were able to plant grass and flowers and watch them grow in their classroom. The FFA never passes on chance to teach the younger kids about agriculture. They do this multiple times a year with different grades and subjects.
