2014 Spring CDEs

In the Spring of 2014, members of the South Central FFA participated in the Spring CDEs. The General Livestock, Agronomy, Poultry, Equine, and Wildlife teams went to the Ohio State Fairgrounds for the State level contest.

The General Livestock Team consisted of Rebeka Mikalacki, Rachel Mikalacki, Dallas Tolliver, Colten Felver and Karlie Conaway. These members judged market cattle, breeding heifers, market goats, breeding does, market hogs, breeding hogs, market sheep, and breeding ewes.

The Agronomy team consisted of Zeb Burton, Miles Burton, Madison Ott, Jeremiah Adams, Bethany Lortcher, Dakota Jones, and Peyton Oney. They identified weed and plant species. They also identified seed and bug species.

Members of the Poultry team consisted of Amy Gannet, Terry Copsey, Andrew Shepherd, Summer Long, and Ryan Hale. The Poultry team judged different cuts of chickens, chicken carcasses, eggs, and live chickens.

The Equine team consisted of Kara Walcher, Kortni Thompson, Sara Marquardt-Gibbs. These members were responsible for evaluating horses in different classes, and parts of tack.

Wildlife team members included Ryan Clark, Louren Schott, Brandon Stevens, Gatlin Dapore, Matt Kluding, Gauge Frey, and Ethan Oney. The team judged fish, plants and evaluate various animal carcasses
