FFA Farm Safety Day
The South Central FFA Chapter held their annual Farm Safety Day on October 31, 2013. The chapter invites the South Central Fourth Graders over to learn about staying safe on a farm. The chapter created this event to promote safety on the farm after hearing about several farm accidents involving young children. The day was made up of different sessions that included tractor safety, how to stay safe around animals and staying safe on the gator and lawnmower. The chapter stated that "if we can prevent one accident, then we've done our job." Thank you to the Fourth Grade class for coming over and to the members and Mrs. Lucha for help putting it together.
