SC Competes in Spring Contests
   On April 6, 2013 the South Central FFA participated in the State contest for spring CDEs held at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio. The teams who went consisted of the General Livestock team, Poultry team, Wildlife team, Agronomy team and Equine team.
   
The General Livestock team was made up by LeeAnn Montgomery, Jeremiah Adams, Rebeka and Rachel Mikalacki. The team had to evaluate classes of animals, placing them and then answering questions about each class at the end. The team placed 54th overall.

    The Poultry team included Amy Gannett, Summer Long, Terry Copsey and Bryce Leber. The team had to identify chicken parts, evaluate chicken carcasses and live chickens. The team placed 15th overall.

    The Wildlife team consisted Ryan Clark, Guage Frey, Shelby Toller, Matt Kluding, Ethan Oney and Devon Parlett. The team had to judge fish, plants and identify animal carcasses. They placed 25th overall as a team.

    The Agronomy team was made up by Zeb Burton, Justin Button, David Seidel and Dakota Jones. The team identified weed and plant species and seed and bug specimens. Overall the team placed 21st.

    The Equine team consisted of Sarah Marquardt-Gibbs and Mickala Brusacorum. They evaluated horses and identified tack parts. They placed 80th overall as a team.
