2018 Spring Contests
On March 24th, the South Central FFA had five competing groups in the Spring Contests. The five groups were Poultry, General Livestock, Agronomy, Equine, Wildlife, and Dairy Handling. The Poultry team judges chicken carcusses, the interior and exterior of eggs, bone-in and bone-out chicken products, and live birds. The team consisted of Ivy Ott, Rylee Hopkins, Derek Shaffer, Matt Whiteside, Alexis Rowe, Kaycee Burton, Madison French, and Kyser French. The General Livestock team judges different types of animals, including sheep, cattle, and pigs. The team consists of Danielle Ott, Maddie Vogel, Brooke Gahring, and Ally Burton. The Agronomy team judges different types of seeds and classifies them, identifies diseases and bugs, and they also do a team event. The team consists of Lathen Sholes, Dez Chill, Grant Seidel, and Andrew Madison. The Wildlife team identifies different types of birds and wildlife animals. The team consisted of Matt O'dell.
