Public Speaking CDE
               On February 24th, six members of the South Central FFA participated in the District Public Speaking Career Development Event (CDE). The Public Speaking CDE is a contest in which students must prepare a speech on a topic and present it to the judges. There are different areas in which the students can write a speech.

Kaycee Burton presented the FFA Creed. She spent many hours memorizing the five paragraph creed. Congratulations to Kaycee when she placed 7th and received a Bronze award.

Miles Burton and Kara Walcher participated in the Beginning Prepared Speech. These two had to write a five minute speech on any agricultural issue and present the speech to judges. Miles placed 9th and received a Bronze award. Congrats!

Zeb Burton received 3rd place and a Gold award for his Extemporaneous Speech. Zeb was required to research a topic for a half hour and write and present a speech on the topic. Congratulations Zeb!

Congratulations to all of those who participated in this years Public Speaking CDE.
