In order to qualify for a state or national award, our chapter had to compete in at least 15 activities: one for each of the five quality standards in each of the divisions. The quality standards are: student development, chapter development and community development. With completing these activities, the chapter received their State Superior Chapter Award certificate from the state FFA association. This made our chapter eligible to compete for the state’s Gold, Silver and Bronze chapter awards. Our chapter competed in this and we received the Gold chapter award. With receiving the Gold, the chapter became eligible for the National FFA 3-star, 2-star or 1-star ratings. Each chapter that competes for these awards will receive a multi-year plaque and a spur designating their 3-star, 2-star or 1-star rating.
