On February 2nd the South Central Public Speaking team participated in the County contest.Travis Lortcher competed with the FFA Creed. He had to recite the FFA Creed and answer questions about it. Desiree Chill and Hannah Studebaker competed in Beginning Prepared. They had to write a 4 minute speech about an Agricultural related topic and present it to the judges. Kara Walcher competed in Advanced Prepared. She had to write a 10 minute speech and present it to the judges all memorized. Miles Burton and Marshall Wheeler competed in Extemp. They have to pick randomly a topic 30 minutes before they go to the judges. They get 30mins to research and write about that topic. Travis Lortcher, Desiree Chill, Kara Walcher and Miles Burton are all moving on to Districts.
