FFA Members Teach Second Grade Class

The Agriculture Communication and Leadership class took a week out of class to teach Mrs. Hohler’s second grade class about life cycles. Breaking up into four groups of two, they worked together in the groups to teach their topic of choice. They taught the birth, development, reproduction and aging/death of a chicken. To further make the lesson more interesting to the second graders, they brought in an incubator to hatch chicken eggs. On Friday, October 21, the chicken eggs hatched. Overall, the experience proved to beneficial to both the high schoolers and the second grade class. The high schoolers learned how to teach others and work as a team and the second graders experienced a little bit of agriculture in their classroom.
